A Child Inside Me - Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal
There is a child inside me
When I play with my granddaughters
He comes out and plays with them
When my wife loves me
He comes out, enjoys the love
When I suffer from acute disease
He comes out, wants someone beside
When I get hurt by someone
He comes out, weeps...
And expects someone for wiping tears.
I left him behind many years ago
But he has not left me
He still residing inside me.
