A Child’s Moment Poem by Charl JF Cilliers

A Child’s Moment

The orb
turns overhead
a child's ball
swinging
on a thin
thread of light
so slowly
the world
stands still
balanced
in an enchanted
breath-stopping
body-aching
never-never
ending moment
of reaching out
a hand
to hold
the moon
