Journeys Poem by Charl JF Cilliers

Journeys

Rating: 5.0

No longer is there a train
that goes steaming by
and yet I still see the red coals glowing
against the morning sky.

Dreams are longer than journeys,
I know, but I don’t know why.

Just keep seeing the embers glowing
against the morning sky
in dreams that are so much longer
than the journeys that pass me by.
