A Close Stranger Poem by tristan loveday

A Close Stranger

Rating: 0.5

Everyone's growing, changing their characters
They're all going with their will, somewhere far away,
While thinking that they aren't leaving anyone behind,
They are changing, becoming strangers that she once called ‘friends'

They are busy with their life, not realising someone is waiting for their reply,
They are laughing, forgetting someone is missing in their little group,
They are moving on, only seeing the future but forgetting the past,
They are changing, becoming strangers that she once called ‘family'

The girl sits in her little crowded dark room
With tears running down her check, one by one,
Funny how the tears are leaving one at a time just like her little gang,
They are changing, becoming strangers that she once called ‘team'

Lying to herself, saying she will be fine, everything will be back to normal
Even though she knows that, once they leave, they won't ever turn around,
She knows, she has to do the same but everywhere she looks, she sees
How her comrades are changing, her buddies becoming strangers and how the memories are disappearing.
