A Cry Nobody Heard Poem by Jess Pennock

A Cry Nobody Heard

Sometimes I cry myself to sleep.
Enough to find myself in a heap.
I didn't have long enough to count the sheep.
Yet it's a cry nobody heard.

Now hush little baby,
You will turn out to be a fine young lady.
Sometimes life may seem a little shady.
Yet it's a cry nobody heard.

My tears are a cry for help,
Nobody is listening so I try to yelp.
Yet it's a cry nobody heard.
