Who is crying in that lonely corner?
Sobs i hear can wring any heart
So painful so pinching, piercing ears
As a man being chopped part by part

O soul! Did thou lose thy beloved?
Or thy hard earned lifetime wealth?
Or the most precious youthful health?
Or any cordial passion has been curbed?

Thy mourns will smash this universe
And these tears will bring flood below
To prevent this terrible havoc I urge
Tarry o soul! Tarry thy tears from flow

I mourn not here for any trivial cause
I lost my faith that once would lodge
