A Daemon Poem by Adela Casados

A Daemon

A daemon’s laugh isn’t a cackle its smooth it rolls over like silk,
Its voice isn’t frightening it’s the most wonderful sound you ever heard,
A daemon’s touch doesn’t scar you… it leaves you wanting more,
Its tears don’t fall down and burn like acid it leaves you hurting and makes you want to take the pain,
A daemon’s looks aren’t that of a monster or witch or troll it’s that of immortalized beauty and purity,
Its hair isn’t that of wires and metal it shines with radiance and grows more enchanting in the sun,
Do you see it?
Do you see the daemon?
It laughs at you, it taunts you, it knows your weaknesses…
And it tells you it loves you……………
