A Dark Continent Poem by Chanda Nsofu

A Dark Continent

Africa is indeed a dark continent
We have talents but we don't see them
We have a fertile land but we don't see it
We have oil but we don't see it
We have gold but we don't see it
We have diamonds but we don't see them
We have rich rivers but we don't see them
We have wonderful wildlife but we don't see it
Africa is indeed a dark continent
May God open our eyes
that we may see our blessings

a dark continent because they said so. yes. our land was never dark and never will be. our minds, are darkened with ignorance to see the things that make us stand. OUR MINDS, A DARK CONTINENT. see the light beyond sir.

An expression coming from the innermost portion of the heart. Be positive the scenario will definitely change since change is the basic quality of life. Thanks for your comment on my 'Cashing The Chance'. -Ratnakar D Mandlik
