A Day Of Life And Death Poem by Francesca Mia Victoria

A Day Of Life And Death

Rating: 5.0

Shimmering glory shining
Across the plains of these hovered shoulders
From above through the thick vague clouds
From above through these aging crystal colors of my church’s standing walls
I see now this shattered mask you’ve created Lord.

Has finally break free for the day.
All of it’s pain has been drained away for the day
All of it’s anger has been calmed down for the day
All of its tears have left it up to our own eyes to rain
For the day

As this bright sight has opened its golden gates
Though we stay hovered one another
In sorrow; in our own darkness;
As many of us dressed in no sight of color but burial black

You were not meant to
Continue on your own journey to this sudden end
Letting no part of you slip away from our tumbling wall

You’ve sneaked out behind our backs without saying a simple goodbye
Not even a sweet bye bye kiss to your own dear mother
Whom lost her only love of her life many years ago
How could you?

How selfish can life be?
One by one slipping away
While we are left to face
More, more of life’s heavy load
Creating one baggage another
Carrying within and without us
Throughout our lastly lives
Without you.

Now for this day, I understand it is the load of you being gone
that tries to put us down but it is the solid memories
that will live on in each of one of us forever in our lives as strength.

Let it be. Let you be.
Let you free across the universe.
Because even though now you are gone;
Life still goes one.
