A Deadbody Was Murdered In The Night Of Rape Poem by Suman Pal

A Deadbody Was Murdered In The Night Of Rape

A Deadbody was murdered in the Night of Rape
And IT lies down beneath a
Dark shadow with a silent sleep
A painful silent sleep, my Countrymen
A silent sleep with a thousand scream
Your innocent face with a thousand groan
Tells us - 'Save Me,
Save Me, my country
Save Me, my brothers and sisters
Save Me for my parents
Their joyful eyes give me
Peace of Paradise
Save me for my beloved
For his soothing call
Resonate the hymn of wedding in my soul.'
IT screams still now
And will be a century later.
When they strangled
Perhaps, the face of your parent
Or your beloved or some innocent patient
Whom you served someday selflessly
Came inside you
For a few seconds before shuttered.
IT screams around every woman,
IT screams around every man,
In the sky, in the air, in the forest
In the corner of that little room of R.G.Kar
IT screams, IT weeps in pain
An ocean of tears IT sheds
IT tells us - 'Save me
Let me live - I want to live a life.'
When they hold your hands and legs
Broke your eyes
Factured the pelvic bones
Tortured the genital
You find the brute in mankind.
Perhaps you utter, 'Even the street dogs are
More faithful than you, Brutal Traitors.'
IT screams and cries still now
And will be a century later
For this world -
A heap of Money, and
A grasp for Power, and
Some rains of fake tears.
A Deadbody was murdered in the Night of Rape
Now IT lies on a red torn carpet.
Look with open eyes
You must find an enormous
Deadbody of Womanhood in tears and recoiling,
You must find a massive Deadbody of Mankind,
And a mocking frown at Humanity.
