A Death Amongst Angels Poem by Jordan Antrim

A Death Amongst Angels

I have a tale to tell
of a time that I fell
from the heavens on day
and I have to say
from my eye's only emerged the beauty of one other
one I wish I could smother...
His beauty blotting out mine!
I am divine!
I am the being everyone fears
poor little dear
you do not understand what it is like
to have to constantly fight
to remain in the memory of a shadow.

So follow me down into the sea of the dead
where only the souls are fed
sorrow and remorse for what they have done.
but after a long while in the sea awaiting the fun
that is surely to come.
you see some every so often that don't seem as if they should be with me.
you see every once in awhile I believe he has made a mistake
he has wrecked and thrown wrath so often he sometimes lets a few good ones slip through.

Although it matters not as of now
one day I wish to unleash the Foul
depths of my abyss on the cowl
that covers the world that is brightened
by the face of god until it is I who Frightens it away!
