A Diabetic's Duties. Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

A Diabetic's Duties.

Sun peeks in, a gentle light,
My morning tasks, done just right.
Sensor fresh, a steady hum,
Insulin flows, the day has come.

Not like others, my path I tread,
But routine keeps me up and ahead.
Each step a rhythm, learned and deep,
While body and soul their secrets keep.

Fifty years, a long, long road,
With every dawn, a lighter load.
For in this life, though trials rise,
Hope still shines in a patients eyes.
