A Dorky Naive Girl Poem by Adam Berman

A Dorky Naive Girl

Dear brother, thank you for your last message.

Sadly I tell you brother,
my mind is not well
she has blown my sails
away from shore
and where am I if not in hell

a storm of anguish
O' waves of the deep
that will only take me
to the bottom of the earth
and there would lay my ship

An image of peace
brings the light of the day
How warm is my skin
like an hour of pray

Here the world appears
Different I say, a mirage
an illusion to an illusion
So far away too far too long
Can't you see I'm almost gone?

Where I'm bound
No hand can reach
But the hands of he
who knows me best

Would you trust me brother
If I spoke of
her existance once more
Such eyes of longing
Laughter of tears
Her silly voice like
music to my death ears
