A Dream Poem by Troy Clark

A Dream

A dream-only but a dream
Term used highly, and forgotten
This dream I dreamed-we dreamed-prevails
Leaving a vivid scar on peoples being
Now a dream-which is only a dream
Could only manifest itself
Some thing that is imaginary
But epic-emotionally and physically
But a dream-an innocent, and provocative thing
Can haunt this race-as easily and as slyly
As snow freezes the ground and a window pane
But just as simply, can turn the tide of this world.
