A Dream Poem by Christopher Shepheard

A Dream

Rating: 5.0

I felt your hand upon my arm
And was awakened by your urgency;
There heard you murmuring in expectant voice
Things that only should be yours and mine —
And a name unknown.

So when in your hours of waking, this side,
Lucid you call me,
Does your hand reach out into
Another life, and touch his arm
Who wonders what you mean?
