A Dream Dissolved Poem by Raghurama Raju

A Dream Dissolved

Rating: 5.0

When you are in the middle of a dream,
You suddenly wake up!
As if someone shook your body!
You yawn, stretch your body,
Rub your eyes,
And look around to know where you are!
You try to travel back into your sweet dream!
Your brilliantbrain Which remembers
every silly thing in your life,
Simply forgets the route you just
travelled and
Fails to take you back to the dream!
The garden, its flowers,
The butterflies and
the chirping little birds
Everything is gone!
beyond a trace like
a block of ice in the burning sun!

' Gone beyond a trace! Like a block of ice in the burning sun'........Nicely expressed! That is exactly how dreams vanish! Good poem!
