A Dream from the Primal Stream
By Prabir Kumar Gayen
In dreams that rose from primal streams,
A flickering light within me gleamed.
Desire had fled; the mind was still,
A silent pond, a swan at will.
An enigma moved without a trace,
Celestial clouds receded in grace.
A song unheard flowed down my spine,
Delight spread where no forms align.
A chasm deep, devoid of light,
Spun forms of darkness out of sight.
All light diffused within its womb,
A dance of soundless sound did bloom.
Creation's chord struck without form,
No self remained, just pain's warm storm.
I wandered where no self was found,
An eternal boom without a bound.
My body light as withered leaf,
Celestial forms beyond belief.
A song of joy in skyless night,
Starless vastness brought new light.
Pain profound streamed like rain,
Fragrance intoxicated my soul's domain.
Awakening on a bedless bed,
Made of pain, ineffable dread.
