A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes Poem by Dale Mouscos

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

In response to your opinion, as I cannot let it slide,
The truth is stuck between us, but at least I never lied.
The severity of your choices have broken us apart,
Did you ever think that I didn't have a heart?
You think I have no reason to speak of things I know,
I may not give you details, and my emotions rarely show.
Sadly we are more alike than either will admit,
And as far as you may push me, I will never quit!
I have goals and dreams that I try to make come true,
And although you won't admit it, I know that you do too.
Change your life around, but don't say that it's for me,
Determine what you really want and let yourself be free.
You really don't want to see me, I'll make your dream come true,
But please don't make assumptions like I haven't got a clue.
Why waste your time responding when you say you could care less,
There have been times when I am down, to that I will confess.
The only cruelty you have seen you've created on your own,
How could I think that you possibly care with what you haven't shown.
You said you want me out of your life, how real can that be,
Tell you what, I'll make your dreams become reality.
