A Dress Poem by TITIKSHA SINGHAL

A Dress

A dress of memory wears a self
Embroidered with smiles, rugged with sadness
Altered a times to bring out the best shape,
Holed by the times that transgressed to forgetness.

Hemmed down also for a numbered times
So hides the bares of beneath
Until the day it needs to be peeled
To walk naked, into the nothing ahead!
