A Fairy Tale Poem by crystal lambert

A Fairy Tale

She sat there all alone,
Tears rolling down her face,
All she hears is people moan,
How she’s just a hopeless case.

Her heart feels the thorn on a big red rose,
It’s sharper than she’s ever felt before
Digging in deeper as the pain constantly grows,
She doesn’t know if she can take this pain anymore.

Across her wrist the blade is deep,
Depending on the prince she will meet,
Giving her the life she dreams asleep,
He’s kisses she feels on her lips so sweet.

The day he comes to set her free,
He’ll have the key to her heart,
This is the day that she will see,
That never again will they be apart.

Wedding bells ring in her ears,
She knows now she can never fail,
He’s wiping away all her fears,
He brought her a living fairy tale.
