A Fallen Hero Poem by SHELTON SIMIYU

A Fallen Hero

A black Friday do we rise
To take you home mwalimu
So much will you be missed
Colleagues with pain we mourn.

Indeed so cruel is death
To take such an energy
So fresh in our mind you are
With pain your friends we mourn.

A father to us you were
But like a soldier you have fallen
Though victoriously you fought
Your demise with pain we cry.

To God we put our hope
Your soul eternal to keep
We dare not lament on He
That loved you so much
Than we did your colleagues!
