A Fallen Soldier's Heart Poem by Mark Anthony Mendoza

A Fallen Soldier's Heart

Everybody’s asking, everybody’s talking ‘bout us
Some said they’re sorry for what we have been
Some just smile and say life is just about like that
While other stare at me and put the blame on me

Yes I’m the man I should have been the soldier
I should have been the one to fought ‘till the end
Yes the blame is all pointing on me, so I surrender
If it was me all along then they never seen a soul of a soldier

Now everybody’s watching and everybody’s gossiping
Who would first fall to a different ocean and dive into
All they see is our fault, never they saw the beauty we had
Guess they all wanted me to fall to a sin, to see me crawling the ground

Now they’ve seen the mistakes, my weakness, my downfall
Guess now they can smile and say they’re all right
The way I hope for their best but to them they hope for my fall
Now they’ve seen it all, please take a time to look on what I do right

Never could convince that I was right
For the one who tears the most, the one who seems to be right
No point to prove them what they think of me
But I hope they have witness we shared a good memories with love

To all the tears I shed and she shed
The memories will never die with us
Though I know how hard this would be
But in the end we’re thankful we have crossed each others life

And the mystery will always remain inside
Ended up the relationship, get over each other
In time maybe we’ll find another love
But the love we have will never die….
For love doesn’t always mean being together
The reason why love is a mystery….
