A Falling Leaf - Poem by Kamal Narayan Baruah

A life as vile as dust from the beginning
I felt when I saw from a tree a leaf old falling
Surprised I was when I saw her dazzling
Trying to open her wings in an attempt of swimming
With her once green hue changed to pale yellow
Till she tries to spread those wings in air regardless of sorroW
And now I feel like learning a thing anew about life
As its light will all you see when you're naive
And the dark faded from your heart hive..
