A Family Tidbits Poem by REGINA WILLIAMS

A Family Tidbits

This is a poem about my family,
With descriptions of each one.
Each of us act so differently,
Some remain and some are gone.

First there's Ruby, she's a jewel indeed,
Most laid back female I've ever seen.
She's cool, calm and collected,
Has patience GALORE.. but ruffle her
feathers and hear her ROAR!

Next in line is Gen,
She's precious as can be.
Now this one liked her men,
When she was younger you see.

Now a devout woman of God,
She loves Him with all her heart! ! !
Like two peas in a pod,
I know she'll never depart.

Moving on to Bonnie,
A blessing with a great heart.
This lady was as sweet as honey,
Right from the very start.

Well she was my favorite sis,
Poor sweetie is now deceased.
But loving her was bliss,
Even after death my love for
her increased.

Now lets speak about Dean,
Another sweetie pie.
To me she's a queen,
Yes, feel free to ask why.

She's really wise and strong,
And real as can be,
She won't lead you wrong,
At least not intentionally.

Then comes my brother George,
He was a mess back in his day.
If you see him coming RUN,
Please get out of his way!

Full of grit and sneaky as hell,
Didn't start fights but would end them quick.
Thought of his sister's as Southern Bells,
If he threatened you he'd make it stick.

My brother Benny is no more,
I miss him ohhhhh so much! ! !
Kindest and most patient man you'll ever meet,
He was never in a rush.

He always took his time,
No matter what was going on.
For me he always made time,
Even if it took from his own.

Now my sister Nita is a beast,
Now she's a real hothead.
Make her mad and she's gone feast,
On you til you're about dead!

She has her sweet side,
But you won't see it long.
Too much anger, hurt and pride,
Bent out of shape all wrong.

Next in line is Faye,
Lord please help this girl!
With boys she love to play,
Her flesh kept her in a swirl.

She's the one that's next to me,
She always called me names.
I think there was some jealousy,
Someone else was always to blame.

I'll skip myself and speak about Lynn,
She's the youngest of the clan.
She was always very pleasant,
And scared as can be of all pheasants.

My best friend and ace boon coon,
I love her here and up to the moon.
My baby sister gives me joy,
We would oft time share a chip of hoy.

Well that's the word on my siblings'
I hope I did them just.
Cause I don't need no bickering,
No shouting and no fuss.
