When I was young and worry free,
My parent's took good care of me.
My life was good and full of joy,
Last thing on my mind was a boy!
Everyone oohed and awwed over me!
Because they said I was so pretty.
Our home was far back in the woods,
We were poor but life was good!
My dad didn't make a lot of money,
But he made up for it by being funny.
He made us laugh by the stories he told,
Add a lie here and there but he was bold.
My mom also told us stories too,
Because that's just what she loved to do.
Indeed, we enjoyed every tale,
except the one's that spoke of hell.
We'd get outside and rip and run,
My goodness, we had so much fun!
From dusk to dawn and into the night,
We play and enjoyed our childish life.
There was eight girls and two boys,
We are our parent's pride and joy.
Love was abundant in our household,
The love was worth more than any gold.
Our family wasn't rich and that's a fact,
But we were the human family wolf pack.
The love in our family was and is strong,
With the love we have we can't go wrong.
I love my parent so very much!
Just thinking of them make my heart rush.
They were my world when they here,
Now that they're gone I can't think clear.
If I could go back in time,
I'd do it quickly on the drop of a dime.
To see and be with my parent's again,
My life would be fulfilled all over again.

Beautiful nostalgic story of a happy family and childhood bliss told in eloquent finesse. Rich flow of thoughts elegantly brought forth in good rhyme scheme from the heart. Thanks for sharing Regina and do remain blessed.
