A Few Crippled Men. Poem by Somendra Gaur

A Few Crippled Men.

To them, poverty's naught but self-victimization dressed in glory;
Humility, mere submission in their story.
Decency, an act of people-pleasing, unless their gain is near;
Empathy, a word they wield to hold themselves dear.
Yet, when faced with matters of the heart and mind,
In emotional intelligence, they are but crippled and blind.
