A Figure Saw I Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

A Figure Saw I

A Figure saw I
Moving along the bastions
And we were by Hastings Gardens.

Turned not its face
The mantle black rolled round the figure
In the strong night-winds
And we were by Hastings Gardens.

With quick and stealthy step
Melted the Figure black
And we were by Hastings Gardens
