A Flower In The Darkness Poem by Whisper Smith

I saw a beautiful ray of sunlight,
In the midst of surrounding Darkness.
I ran to it full speed, And in the Light There was something frail,
And small,
It was a'flower'.
And some how I drew strength from it,
Strength from something so small?
While surrounded by darkness?
I think it was because I Knew
Somehow,
That others saw this light too
And Its beauty
And how it was protecting us
From Crushing Darkness
So We Hold the Light close,
Clutching it
To heart.
Then look out into the Darkness
And hope we get the chance to be someones 'flower'. ?
