A Fool In Life Poem by Merlene Campbell

A Fool In Life

Let me go
Let me play
Let me take my heart away
Take alone the tearful cries the place I hide
Don’t let me be
For if I must I just may be a fearful bust
If I hide it is from life
I am tired
A fool’s device
Take my place a fool in life
For if I leave it, it is no vice
