A duet unto death.
Not mortals, as we are.
We cheer until our voices perish.
And when the final echoes wither,
when our voices lie buried in silence,
even the memory of us
fades into oblivion.
Our young shall rise to take our place.
But who shall tell them
that all our cheers,
all our blood and glory,
were but a fool's errand?
