A Free Souls Theory Poem by Jamie Jessee

A Free Souls Theory

Rating: 5.0

One day my body will die, and my tired old soul will leave this earth.
If I die now or when I’m older, I will never gain the knowledge to know.
Only a fool waste there time on trying to keep safe and secure.
But there’s no such thing as life with out getting hurt.
Just you wasting time on some absurd theory.
Life is a unpredictable, short curious journey.
Death is a quiet, long and predictable ending.
But where you end death is waiting for you.
So make a path through a field of grass.
Dance in the rain of the angel weep.
Move with the rhythm of the thunder.
Think as if the lighting is a light of hope in this dark abyss
Close your eyes and hold your hands up, grab hold of the wind.
Let it take you away to the edge of this twilight.
Take a breath, smile, hold your hand out into the darkness
and let death take you. As he pulls your soul deeper into the unknown,
look at your body as it lay limp. Reflect on your now distant happy human memories and peacefully rest as deaths chariot leads you through the dark and into the dawn, to meet your maker.
