A Friend Poem by 41413 41412

A Friend

Here I sit, under the bright melancholic moon.
Singing softly, a sorrowful tune.
And as I sing, I write my mind.
A friend I seek, of my own kind.
One who'll help, whenever I'm in a bind,
As towards human nature, I am always blind.
Perhaps my nature is unrefined,
And maybe my future is undefined.
But towards darkness, I am disinclined,
for I have a friend who is overkind.
