A Frosty Morning Poem by Christan Bowen

A Frosty Morning

What I wake up to is a clear reminder that winter does come
The frost on the window begins to melt from the morning sun
As I casually dress and think the world a success
I sip my morning tea and believe that the yard is a sea
A sea with no end, The snow whipping in the wind
There is no end to the vastness of no visibility

Giving me a clear reason to adorn boots and jacket
I begin walking through the snow and woah, The racket
I sense a friend, A rabbit appears and then he vanishes
As if the winter veteran has been banished
Walking further along a disappearing path
I stumble upon a bended tree, so young and full of leaves
I brush the snow away and the tree appears to say
Good morning and good day

Turning back, at last, I can feel the wind bast
Through my clothes and my boots, Now freezing toes
I suppose I asked for it, So I sit and think I know
I'll make an Angel in the snow
