A Frozen Moment Poem by Bancroft Boreland

A Frozen Moment

Rating: 4.0

Ever since she kissed me
Time has fallen in an endless sleep
The universe is quite as I listen to her heartbeat
Now reality is at a standstill
And my heart is an empty cup
Waiting for her to fill
She is all that I’ll ever need

Let me not return to a world where
My heart will inevitably be broken
Some people want to live forever
But I want only this magical moment
In which I am with the one I love
If you do not see me in heaven
It is because I chose to spend eternity
In this frozen moment…
