A Gaze Ahead Poem by Blake Ruley

A Gaze Ahead

So here I sit upon dusk this fine day.
A remembrance of thought and chance at light.
I've consumed many and many have consumed me.
But I do not back down so easily.
Tomorrow is in store for me, and what she or he has may be my destiny.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Inspired by a movie, and many great men and women. It was written on my back porch one dusk evening smoking a cigarette.
