A Gravelling Grief Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

A Gravelling Grief

A new day, a new start,
Something reminds me of my recent past,
This recollection goes back
To a week ago where there was some lack,
The confidence level was down,
It was hard to give back its esteemed crown,
To focus forcefully and think
The hard stored data was not anymore to link,
With time tension increased
Fear started to sink in and the rate decreased,
Whenever there was a defect
The distraction would have a transforming effect,
It also added to the headache
To be laze and be a waste was all it could make,
Besides this there was a call,
That call drove me to my family and I did recall
About how much I missed
While being here, which none had witnessed,
To let go of this brief grief
I took a walk to relinquish grief and get relief;
Everything around us changes
Sometimes we tend to miss the changes,
Procrastination is not just a thief
Of time, it is also a gravelling grief,
In order to imprison this silly grief
Seek for the inherent peace,
Which would be like a breeze
That would strengthen the belief.
