A Standstill Poem by J Sheba Anandhi

A Standstill

Rating: 5.0

A breakdown, a standstill,
The dynamic brio is held still,
The path ahead is blurred,
Not a chance to be lured,
The aspirations are despondent,
Hard to observe any deportment,
Now I am an insipid resident
Experiencing tedious internment,
The once idyllic abode
Is at present frozen and cold.

I wrote the poem 'Idyllic Home Slides Off Rails Into Road Ruts' inspired by the poem 'A Standstill' by the poet J Sheba Anandhi and dedicated to J Sheba Anandhi.
