A Harbor Poem by Corinne LaMoreHarber

A Harbor

I used your name long before
As something so sacred
When there were bigger dreams
On my plate
Before the rosy checked inspiration
Kept me awake-
Most nights.
These days
There is a little me
With sticky palms
And scraped knees,
She has wild in her hair
And even wilder dreams.
