A Hard Road Poem by Nam Hoang

A Hard Road

Look upon me, the sky above
Heal me these wounds from being in love

And still I sought a love, few could have attained
Though I found it, it would leave me broken and drained

Mending of my heart will soon be unbroken
Mired with these ancient words, thoughts unspoken

Heart thumping out of my chest, lying so dead
The darkened roads angels fear to tread
