A Henpecked Man Poem by Randy McClave

A Henpecked Man

He says that he is not a Henpecked man
I inadvertently called him a liar,
Whatever he does, it's after his wife says that he can
She wears the britches, and has all the power.
Though she says that he is the man of their house
He knows that statement is truly not,
He must always ask permission from his spouse
Especially what to buy, or even when to go out.
A fine example he is for either a son or a daughter
When he says with his wife he just doesnt want to disagree,
Towards her domination he has never argued or fought her
A Henpecked man I can never be.
