If anyone can be a hero
why should you lie
keep your lips silent
and hide in the shadows around

if anyone can be a hero
why let your voice be tamed
keep your soul quiet
and keep the world out

If anyone can be a hero
why do you wear a mask
keep that smile up
and present another one like you

If anyone can be a hero
then listen to my distressed heart
loving and dying, beating and beaten
