A Home Without Walls Poem by Kevin Luna

A Home Without Walls

‎In the warmth of your smile, I found a place that can be called home,
‎But sometimes love still feels like being alone.
‎You're right beside me, yet miles away,
‎Lost in a moment where I can't stay.
‎I reach for your hand, but you're drifting again,
‎And silence becomes my familiar friend.
‎Your eyes seek for someone new,
‎And I wish they'd shine that way for me too.
‎It hurts, you know—this quiet fight,
‎Where I hold on tight with all my might.
‎Love shouldn't feel like chasing a ghost,
‎Trying to keep what I want the most.
‎But even in pain, my heart remains,
‎Beating your name through all the strains.
‎'Cause loving you is a fire I can't unlearn,
‎Even when I'm the one who gets to burn.
‎So if the day comes when you turn away,
‎And I'm left with words I can't say—
‎I'll still be grateful for the love I've known,
‎Even if sometimes… I loved alone.
