A Human Union Poem by eve Taylor

A Human Union

Today I am to speak to you,

about the continuity,

of our human race,

as we are all one in kind,

we suffer from many differences,

although and aside,

from our different abnormalities,

we breathe, we strive,

casting aside,

our formalities,

we die, we live,

so why must we then,

alienate one and another?

We kill those,

which in someone else's eyes,

are loved ones,

fathers, daughters,

mothers, and sons,

despite our similarities,

it is our dissimilarities,

that are destroying our selves,

our worlds,

we must come together,

lest we come apart.
