A Hundred Lives To Live Poem by Kriztan Rei Palces

A Hundred Lives To Live

I could live a teacher, a professor who teaches and think
I'll teach you stuff 'bout science, math, love and everything
...
I could live a poet creating riddles and rhymes
Of sweet love and admiration for your pretty smiles

I could live to serve and protect, a police with a gun
I’ll lessen your fears and doubts to as close as none

I could live a musician playing you songs
Singing serenades and ballads to you, where they belong

I could live a dentist I’ll save your teeth
And keep you away from the world’s harmful sweets
….
I could live a nurse I’ll take care of you everyday
Knowing that you’re fine makes me happy, and that’s my pay

I could live a comedian, a harbinger of laughter
I’ll make you happy and I never failed to deliver

I could live an engineer I’ll help build your future
I’ll build the pavements, your road to grandeur

I could live a pilot I’ll take you to the skies
Above the clouds where cutest angel resides

I could live a doctor I’ll prolong our lives
I’ll keep your heart beating ‘till eternity dies

I could live a bum and with no work to do
I will spend all my time loving you

I will try to live and live and believe
Even if I already knew
That I could live a hundred lives
And still don’t deserve you.
