A Lady In Russet Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

A Lady In Russet

A
Lady
In
Russet
After
Dusk
Inside
The
Palace
Halls
Walks
Restless
Moves
But
Inside
The
Palace
Only
The
Lady
Stays:
With
Cobwebs
And
With
Ire
And
Rattling
Of
The
skeletons
and
now
I fearless
I who
The Muse
Accompanied
Inside
The Palace of Fear
With courage filled
To hear
The sighs
The tears
The scream occasional
The lighted candelabras
In the whole dust of dark
And
Then the bursting
Of the new sprung morn…
