A Lady With A River Poem by Tapas Baidya

A Lady With A River

On a riverside
She is alone only by herself
The sky thinks to accompany her
So he comes down with a warm induction
She says no to the sky

The setting sun seems the lady is alone
He comes with a red rose and denied

While returning village
A beggar watches the static unmindful lady
He plays dotara for her
Sings to happy her
Dances around to cheer her
But she refuses him coldly and tells:
I am not alone
I have a loving face on that side of the river
