A Landscape In My Mind Poem by RIC BASTASA

A Landscape In My Mind

clouds hanging on a
mountain peak with snow caps

deep blue sky
like a lake in space

on the other side
lies the wilting grasses
of the valley

twin towers on top
of a hill
like two Tibetan monks
meditating
to a very clear sky

the winds howl
from the plains
like wolves in confusion
