A Legacy Poem by Pushpinder Kaur

A Legacy

A Legacy

The spurt of all creativity
in the entire being-
My body and my soul
that surfaced within me with a spirit reborn
Can only be sourced back to your ‘going' Mom.

Your ‘Going' taught me
the lesson
that time is of the essence-
The now, and the present;
I must do the most that I can
for this time will soon run short-
Shall soon run out…

It may be nice to leave some mark behind
A message or two…

Wonder sometimes at this
Relationship between
Time, creativity
and the desire to leave a legacy.
