Motherly love is considered supreme
It is commonly held in high esteem
To some love is a sweet affection

The sky still looks dark like night.
Sun is not yet in sight.
Slowly dawn finally breaks
And the amber light spreads
...
Though the lotus shares a bond
With the muddy and murky pond,
Yet lotus is holy and precious,
...
Life and death make me wonder
Thoughts upon which I often ponder
What keeps the cycle of life going?
...
My heart hums like bees
And flutters like butterflies,
Blooms like the blossoms
And sings like the cardinals -
...
The sunlight,
Softly removes the blanket of snow
To awaken earth from winter's sleep
...
In the unknown dark abyss of mind
When gloom and frustration twined
Which you oftentimes couldn't escape
Those things clothed in black drape
...
It was during my childhood,
May be at the age of nine,
I experienced something unusual,
Something difficult to define

the silvery moon
reflects on a placid lake

From my debut book "Fleeting Moments: haiku on nature"
sudden gust of wind
petals of cherry blossoms
...
From my debut book "Fleeting Moments: haiku on nature"
fluorescent green leaves
peep out of their covering -
...
You hover over garden of thoughts -
Overflowing with nectar of emotions
And from buds of imagination,
Thousands of ideas blossom.
...
From my debut book "Fleeting Moments: haiku on nature"
an iridescent
dragonfly hovers nearby

From my debut book "Fleeting Moments: haiku on nature"
a sunny spring day
pair of white swans are paddling
...
From my debut book "Fleeting Moments: haiku on nature"
a long spell of rain
has at last come to a halt
...
cotton candy floats
all around the atmosphere
dollops of ice cream
on trees, buildings, cars and streets -
...
Just as raindrops moist the parched earth
And vegetation grows without dearth -
All we need is a compassionate heart,

On Love
Motherly love is considered supreme
It is commonly held in high esteem
To some love is a sweet affection
They feel for a sibling relation
Often, love is intimate and romantic
Sometimes, committed and patriotic
For some love is for whole humanity
It may reflect in their acts of charity
Love flows within them like warm blood
It submerges everything as does flood
Love stands for trust and enormous passion
Love also means nurturing and compassion
Essentially all love is same and one
An intense emotion you feel for anyone
This great poem 'O Butterfly' made me a fan of you dear poetess Bipasha. Loved your poetic personality so much and wished to imagine how the window that shows you your world might be. I wish I were there where you write your poems, just to get the closeness of being the first reader. May God keep you evergreen with your lovely art of poetry and healthy air around for your dreams. Yours Fan Subhas
True love develops trust. Infatuation leads to blind faith.
Intelligent people choose right path. Wise people create right path.
Nothing is waste, if only we know its usage.
love is just this: how well it shines on others
I am truly touched by your comment. Wish you all the success and a fulfilling life. Warm regards, Bipasha
