A Letter From Unborn Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

A Letter From Unborn

With hot love and regards
To her mom and dad
From womb, her habitat
A daughter writes a letter:

‘The battle is on dear mom
The day one you know
The whole episode
Needn't be explained-
A fake person, I call, as Dad
Dominating the scenario-
Both, look like equal in crime
Crime against I'm fighting
Fighting for the high values
Revealing deep my concern
And feelings sad of mine.'

Idolized paints and paintings
In colours of disaster
And unlawful story
Story of twists and turns
Of the cities and towns
That of misfortunes goes on
Worth of worthlessness-
Physical tortures
And teasing of the mind
What the next happens-
Refreshing all in advance
Those tragic, bitter moments
Very shortly, likely to happen
With layered meanings
And inner feelings.

‘I'm fighting useless fight
Of dignity and destiny
Against malady of social system
Wherein alarmed-
I'm suffocating without oxygen
In terror and panic unsecured
Horrified-
When, both mom and dad
Conspiring secretly to end
Whispering something
Something hidden into their ears.'

Rejoicing, she being a daughter
Celebrating, her leap each step
Unmindful, of the special treat
Perchance, born or unborn-
As, an innovation in the sky!
